RMP - City of Martinez Water Treatment PlantMartinez, CAThe purpose of the City of Martinez Water Treatment Plant (MWTP) is to disinfect and filter the water that is used by the general public. The main chemicals used in the treatment process are sodium hypochlorite, anhydrous ammonia, aluminum sulfate, ozone, caustic soda, polymer, activated carbon, and fluoride.
