RMP - USS-Posco IndustriesPittsburg, CAUSS-Posco Industries (UPI) is located on Loveridge Road in the city of Pittsburg, CA, approximately half a mile north of Highway 4. The UPI property occupies approximately 490 acres. It is bordered by the New York Slough of the San Joaquin/Sacramento River on the north and by open space and industrial facilities in all other directions. Most of the facility's processes involve steel production. Hydrogen is used in the various annealing processes and anhydrous ammonia is used in Selective Catalytic Reduction operations to reduce air emissions.
