RMP - Lafayette Water Treatment PlantThe Lafayette Water Treatment Plant water treatment plant is one of EBMUD's six water treatment plants that combined can filter and process more than 375 million gallons of water daily. Each of these plants uses aqueous ammonia in their disinfection step of water treatment. The ammonia is added in small amounts to the water in order to create chloramines which are a disinfectant that last longer in the water distribution system. CCHS is in the process of receiving and reviewing the Risk Management Plan from this facility. The RMP program level will be determined after the review is complete.
