  7. Disposal Of Household Medications
    • To safely dispose of unwanted medications, please put them in an unlabeled sealed durable container, place them along with other garbage in a trash bag, then put the bag in your trash cart. This will help to prevent anyone from finding medications in the trash, and prevent loose medications from spilling out of trash containers during collection and possibly becoming accessible to children and pets.
    • Chemotherapy drugs should be returned to the clinic that dispensed them.
    • Please do not flush medications of any kind down the toilet or any other drain. Medications flushed down drains can pollute our waterways.
