The Public Health Outreach, Education and Collaborations Unit (PHOEC)
The Public Health Outreach, Education and Collaboration (PHOEC) unit brings together the unique expertise of two key community engagement strategies in CCHS, the Healthy Neighborhoods Project and the Partnership for the Public's Health Initiative. PHOEC provides expertise in grassroots community mobilizing, resident leadership development and building health department-community partnerships to solve complex public health problems. PHEOC supports CCHS and community residents to work together on community-identified health priorities by:
Upon request and as resources permit, PHOEC staff is available to make presentations, conduct trainings and provide technical assistance to health departments and collaborative partners on community engagement strategies in public health. We welcome invitations to present our work at statewide or regional conferences or meetings.
