To support our program, please consider a donation. We now accept gifts securely through PayPal. You can donate to the residency via the Contra Costa Health Foundation, which is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, so donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Where Does your Donation to the Contra Costa Family Medicine Residency Go?

Your donation helps us to recruit talented residents and support their education and development. It also goes to support resident initiated projects to improve our community, both locally and internationally. The following are the four key areas supported by residency funds:

Recruitment and Outreach: Residency funds go to reimburse residents for hosting prospective applicants and travelling to recruitment events. Through our recruitment efforts, we attract a diverse and accomplished group of residents every year.
Education and Training: We support residents and faculty in attending conferences and trainings as diverse as the Society for Teachers of Family Medicine, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics and the Medical Management of HIV/AIDS. In addition, residency funds support resident-focused educational events such as the UC Davis Network of Family Practice Programs Annual Conference.
Technology and Equipment: We purchase software, educational models and other equipment to improve clinical training and patient care. These purchases keep us on the cutting edge of technically proficient, evidence-based medicine.
Local and Global Health: As part of their training and in their free time, our residents participate actively in their community. Residency funds support resident projects to improve health for those who live in Contra Costa County. We also support international health work undertaken by residents during their elective time.
