Programs & Organizations > The Mark Stinson Fellowship
The Mark Stinson FellowshipThe Mark Stinson Fellowship in Global Health and Underserved Medicine was established to provide training and support for family physicians committed to the care of the underserved, both in the US and abroad. Combining clinical work at a county public hospital with MPH studies at UC Berkeley, the Stinson Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for family physicians to deepen their clinical skills while advancing their knowledge in areas of epidemiology, public health and public policy that impact underserved communities. During the two year fellowship, each fellow will work closely with advisors and mentors at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. Fellows complete a research project in an area of their personal interest. Interest areas of past Fellows have included Maternal and Child Health and HIV Care. Contra Costa Regional Medical Center is a state-of-the art medical facility that provides care to the underserved in Contra Costa county.
