WhoContra Costa Health Services is warning residents to avoid heat-related illnesses during the current heat wave and to go to cooling stations if they do not have air conditioning. Temperatures in in-land areas are expected to exceed 100 degrees July 5 through July 6. Note: These facilities are open Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

Do not sit, or leave children and/or pets in cars.
