Nominate "People Who Make a Difference" in Combating Alcohol and Other Drugs in your Community

The Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board of Contra Costa County is seeking nominations for the 2008 "People Who Make a Difference" Awards, which recognize individuals and groups who have contributed significantly towards combating alcohol and other drugs in Contra Costa communities.

Nominations must be received by Friday, April 11, 2008

Who

The nominee must meet one or more of these criteria:

• Identified an alcohol and other drug problem and initiated effective change
• Contributed to reducing the impact of alcohol and other drugs in Contra Costa communities
• Produced a significant shift in community alcohol and other drugs awareness

There are six award categories for 2008 Volunteer Individual, Volunteer Group, Non-Volunteer Individual, Non-Volunteer Group, Youth Leadership Individual and Youth Leadership Group.

The winners will be acknowledged at a Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors meeting scheduled for Tuesday May 20, 2008 at 9:30 a.m., 651 Pine St. Martinez
