Who Does Save Our Smiles Serve?Save Our Smiles serves Contra Costa County children from preschool through 6th grade, as well as special education students. What Services Does Save Our Smiles Provide?Education
Screenings and Referrals for TreatmentSpecially trained dental hygienists and dental assistants perform screenings at school sites and health fairs. Referrals for treatment are provided. Screenings do not take the place of an examination by a dentist. SealantsThe Save Our Smiles Sealant Program provides dental sealants in target areas throughout Contra Costa County. The Program is staffed by a county dental hygienist and registered dental assistant and also utilizes volunteer dentists and hygienists from the community. Supplies
