Travel Immunization Clinic

Protect Yourself

Get information about necessary health precautions and prepare to see a health care provider ideally 4-6 weeks before traveling. Several immunizations need a few weeks to become effective in preventing illness. Helpful travel tips may be viewed at CDC's Immunization for Travers Flyer (PDF, 1p.)

Additional travel resources

The Contra Costa Public Health Travel Clinic provides travel vaccines. Malaria prescriptions and medications are not provided through this clinic. Please see your health care provider for malaria medications prior to traveling abroad.

Service Fees

Effective: July 1, 2008

Hepatitis A: 1 - 18 years $10 per dose (2 doses required to complete series)
Hepatitis A: 19 years & older $70 per dose (2 doses required to complete series)
Hepatitis B $65 per dose (3 doses required to complete series)
IG (Immune globulin) $75
IPV (Polio) $15
Meningococcal $140
MMR (Measles,Mumps,Rubella) $80
Pneumococcal $40
Rabies $210
Td (Tetanus, Diphtheria) $15
Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) $15
Typhoid oral $75
Typhoid injection $110
Varicella (Chickenpox) $120 per dose (2 doses required to complete series)
Yellow Fever $120

Travel vaccines are available by appointment only (No drop-ins) on Friday mornings. To schedule an appointment in the travel clinic call 925-313-6488.

Payment is due at time of service. The clinic accepts cash, debit and credit card payment. Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) members bring your insurance identification card. No other insurances are accepted. The clinic does not accept personal checks.

The Contra Costa Public Health Travel Clinic is located in Martinez at the Vista Oaks Occupational Health Clinic. The address is 10 Douglas Drive, Ste 110. Exit Center Ave off Hwy 4, head Northwest, make a left turn on Douglas Drive
