Meals on Wheels of Contra Costa is a California charitable nonprofit coalition of public and private organizations and individuals throughout Contra Costa County concerned with the health and well being of homebound older adult residents.

Meals on Wheels of Contra Costa is a coalition of Public and private nonprofit agencies groups and private sector representatives dedicated to providing home-delivered meals and services to frail, homebound elders in our communities. Private non-profits agencies coordinate day-to-day service delivery to frail elders in communities throughout the county and the Contra Costa County Public Health Department administers and monitors the program.

Meals on Wheels of Contra Costa is the only organization raising funds to bridge the gap between government funding and the needs of homebound elders for nutritious meals. Private contributions are used to purchase thousands of additional meals that are delivered to Meals on Wheels program participants.

We Believe

Seniors may need support to maintain their independence and dignity.
Hot nutritious meals make a difference in health and well being for homebound seniors.
Regular human contact is especially important to the homebound.
The frail, elderly deserve our help.
