Folic Acid Community CampaignThe Folic Acid Community Campaign is a public education campaign that is managed by the Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) Program and sponsored by the Family, Maternal & Child Health Programs of Contra Costa Health Services with support from the March of Dimes and the USDA, California Nutrition Network. The goal of this project is to raise awareness of folic acid and it's role in preventing birth defects of the brain and spine. The campaign consists of the following key components:
Folic Acid Educational MaterialsContra Costa Health Services has developed a series of educational materials as part of the Folic Acid Community Campaign. These materials can be downloaded and are available for use. Folic Acid BrochuresThis low-literacy brochure contains information for women and their families and is available in six languages. The brochure can be printed in either color or black and white.
