CERT Module

This two hour pandemic flu training module is is intended for delivery to individuals who are currently affiliated with a disaster volunteer program such as the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program. These materials can serve as an additional training resource to increase the knowledge and personal preparedness of disaster volunteers, and through them their families and communities. This training is not affiliated with, or part of the FEMA CERT curricula.

Although designed with CERT volunteers in mind, the materials can be used by anyone. The training module was created so that any presenter carefully reading and following the instructor's guide would be able to present the information to their organization, community, or agency without prior training.

The materials in the module are the result of collaboration between health service professionals and leaders from the California disaster volunteer program field.
