Board of Supervisors Public Hearing
On June 24, 2025, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted the Environmental Health fee proposal with minimal modifications including a modified phased increase for Restaurants 0-25 Seats over three years and a temporary freeze on existing small water system fees. Staff are actively working on formalizing our new fee schedule and will post an updated schedule of fees shortly. In the interim, please refer to the Environmental Health Proposed Fees Comparison (updated June 6, 2025) for the effective new permit fees as of June 24, 2025.

Proposed Fees
Environmental Health will be proposing new fees in mid-2025 and if adopted by the Board of Supervisors will not take effect for most customers until the 2026-2027 permit cycle. Proposed Fee Public Workshop
A Proposed Fee Public Workshop was held on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Public Comment Period
The public comment period concluded on May 30, 2025. Comments have been reviewed, and all commenters who provided contact information should be in receipt of a response.
