Los Medanos Health Advisory Committee
The LMHA Program’s guidance is provided by the Los Medanos Health Advisory Committee (LMHAC), made up of representatives from the City of Pittsburg, the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council (MAC), Contra Costa Behavioral Health, Public Health, and local residents. The LMHAC reviews community needs and develops funding recommendations, which are then forwarded to the Los Medanos Healthcare Operations Committee (LMHOC), chaired by District 5 Supervisor Shanelle Scales-Preston and District 4 Supervisor Ken Carlson, who then submits final recommendations to the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors. CCH Public Health staff support both committees by preparing materials, coordinating meetings, and ensuring that approved recommendations are put into action. Committee Meetings & Agendas
The Los Medanos Health Advisory Committee meets monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at the Pittsburg Health Center. The Los Medanos Healthcare Operations Committee meets the first Monday of each month.
