Where Does your Donation to the Contra Costa Family Medicine Residency Go?

Your donation helps us to recruit talented residents and support their education and development. It also goes towards cultivating and sustaining resident-initiated projects to improve our community, both locally and internationally. The following key areas supported by residency funds:

Recruitment and Outreach: Residency funds go to reimburse residents for hosting prospective applicants at our pre-interview dinners. Through our recruitment efforts, we attract a diverse and accomplished group of residents every year.

Education and Training: Residency funds subsidize trainee-focused educational events such as the annual residency educational retreat. Donations help keep this cost-free for all 39 residents.

Community and Global Health: Residency funds support resident-driven projects to improve health for those who live in Contra Costa County. We also support international health work undertaken by residents during their elective time.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Residency funds contribute to the recruitment and retention of students, residents and faculty from underrepresented minority (URM) groups. We are excited to continue to strengthen pathways and pipelines from our diverse communities into careers in healthcare.
