- One MFT position for 2nd or 3rd year
- One Ph.D/Psy.D Practicum III Position
- 24 hours per week
- Required days: Wednesdays 830am-5pm and Thursdays 830am-5pm
- Placement begins: Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026-Friday, May 28th, 2027
Program Description
The Contra Costa JACS program provides: crisis, short and long-term behavioral health services to youth incarcerated at juvenile hall and upon release in the community. The population served are youth ages 12-25. Trainees will learn intake assessment, diagnostic and crisis intervention skills, short and long-term treatment planning, and clinical documentation skills in our electronic health records system. The trainees will be exposed to multiple trauma-informed theoretical approaches and modalities. Trainees will have the opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary teams with doctors, nurses, licensed clinicians, community support workers, probation department staff, and others in a coordinated and supported manner. There is an hourly stipend.
