Vaccines are our best protection against serious illness, hospitalization and death from COVID-19. Contra Costa Health recommends that everyone ages 6 month and older, whether previously vaccinated or not, get a 2025–2026 updated COVID-19 vaccine to protect against serious illness from COVID-19.

Please consult with your provider for 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccine availability. There is a new California state law in place, SB 144, that will allow providers to continue to offer the COVID vaccine for those outside the CDC recommendations. Contra Costa Health (CCH) will follow recommendations from California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Please refer to the Public Health for All website for more information.

Where to Get Vaccinated

People can get a safe, effective and free COVID-19 vaccine from their healthcare provider, local pharmacies or Contra Costa Health's immunization clinics. County residents who have no health insurance may make an appointment for COVID-19 vaccine at one of these clinics located throughout the county. People with appointments are prioritized, so scheduling in advance is encouraged. To schedule an appointment, call us at 925-608-5350 or click the button below to book an appointment online.
