Detention Facilities
Detention facilities include the County detention facilities operated by the Sheriff’s Department, city jails operated by city police departments, juvenile detention facilities operated by the County Probation Department, and the Court holding cells. Contra Costa Health's Environmental Health Program conducts routine inspections of detention facilities to ensure that food service and housing comply with the applicable laws and regulations.
