Housing Security Fund
As a senior on a fixed income, James couldn't pay all his bills after a steep rent increase, and he eventually lost his housing. After months of hard work, he has new affordable housing lined up but those unpaid bills now stand in the way of James getting out of a shelter and into a home where his grandchildren can visit.
Your donation to the Contra Costa Housing Security Fund can help end homelessness for James and others like him.
This community fund covers costs that can prevent many people, including seniors, veterans and families, get back into housing, and protects property owners who offer these screened renters an opportunity.

Item Donations for H3 programs

CORE Outreach (for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness)
- New socks/underwear
- Sleeping bags (CORE)
- Blankets
- Gift cards $5-$10 to local shopping centers (ie, Walmart, Target)
- Umbrellas and raincoats
- Non-perishable foods with pop tops
- Travel size toiletries (hair products, brushes, combs, toothpaste/brushes, lotion, etc.)
If you have items you would like to donate to CORE outreach, you MUST call 925-608-6700 or homelessprogram@cchealth.org to arrange for drop off. Please DO NOT drop items off without calling ahead.
Contra Costa Youth Continuum of Services (for youth ages 18-24)
- Non-perishable foods
- Gift cards $5-$10 to local shopping centers (ie, Walmart, Target)
- New clothing for both male and female adults (interview clothing, pajamas, new undergarments, socks, etc).
- Adult size bikes with security chain/lock
- School supplies
If you have items you would like to donate to the Youth Continuum of Services, call 510-236-9612 to arrange for drop off.
We are able to provide a Donation Receipt Form for tax purposes.
All donations must be approved before they are received.
